Maps On Purpose

Sponsor Organization: Art On Purpose

Inspired by specific maps from The Walters Art Museum’s Maps: Finding Our Place in the World exhibit, Art on Purpose held artistic map-making workshops in fall 2007 with youth and adults from 23 different Baltimore communities. The resulting maps, varied in style and content, are exhibited in a series of eight different installations at The Walters Art Museum. Each installation brings thematically related maps together and features events to celebrate the maps and explore issues they raise.
