Led by conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya, this performance travels that ancient highway across the Andes and wandering through Machu Picchu, starting with the musical traditions of Peru. Showcasing a Peruvian-style flutist and a multimedia display of South American sights, the music leads the audience through Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia, Music by Ginastera, Golijov and Gabriela Lena Frank accents the native dance of each region. Lobby opens at 6:30 pm for live jazz, light fare and cocktails.
