“RE-MAPPING: The Story of This Place” introduces the work of Boston-based artist Kianga Ford, who has been commissioned by the Contemporary Museum to create one of her signature audio walking tours. Ford’s 40-minute tour will lead visitors through the neighborhood on a journey that will introduce a series of narratives and characters, crossing time and collapsing the fictive and the real. In this audio interpretation of a map, Ford creates a portable piece of cinema as she evokes the local history and character of the city, its residents, and their unique stories.
